Bonnie Townsend

Bonnie Townsend joined the Notre
Dame faculty in 1992. She holds a B.A. in French from Hamilton College. She
also attended the Université de Paris for an academic year, earning the
Certificat Pratique de Langue Française and Certificat de Phonétique
Appliquée. She is pursuing graduate coursework in education. She also serves
as co-sponsor of the Student Leadership Council.

Rachel Giles

Rachel Giles joined the Notre Dame faculty in 2006 to teach Spanish. She
graduated Summa Cum Laude from UTC and holds a M.Ed. in Secondary Education
- Spanish, and a B.S. degree in Exercise Science, Sports Administration. She
currently teaches Honors Spanish 2 classes, and co-sponsors the Girls’
Lacrosse Club.

Valerie Silva

Valerie Silva joined Notre Dame in 2004. She holds a B.A. in History
from Covenant College. Prior to Notre Dame, she taught Spanish in Whitfield and
Murray Counties, Georgia. She is a resident of Dalton,
Georgia. Mrs. Silva is the sponsor of the Spanish Club. |

Maggie Speasmaker

Maggie Speasmaker joined the Notre Dame faculty in 2005. She holds a
B.A. degree in Classics and Journalism, and will be teaching Latin at Notre
Dame. At Washington and Lee, she was an active Lacrosse player and was named
a 2nd Team All-American. She will be the sponsor of the Girls' Lacrosse Club
this year. She spent her Junior year of college studying in Florence, Italy. |

Marianne Walker

Marianne Walker joined the Notre
Dame faculty in 2007. She has a B.A. in Spanish from the University of
Tennessee at Chattanooga, with a minor in history. She currently teaches
Spanish 1 & 2, and she is a co-sponsor of the Foreign Language Club. Prior
to Notre Dame, Ms. Walker taught Spanish at Howard School of Academics and
Technology in Chattanooga. |
