Junior College Preparation Activities

  • This is your last chance to really boost your GPA/Rank. Your transcript through the end of this year will go with your applications!

  • You will participate in Guidance meetings. Do all assignments ~ they are for YOUR benefit.

  • Make "official" college visits (include a tour and meet with admissions rep).

  • Update Activities Resume.

  • Update online resources.

  • Research financial aid information and apply for any scholarships for which you are eligible.

  • Take the ACT/SAT no later than April 2006.

  • Attend College/Career Fairs. Visit college reps that come to Notre Dame High School.

  • Narrow college choices to around 5-7, visit each at least once and be sure you are eligible for admission.

  • Request applications and catalogs from the colleges on your list.

  • Choose a strong Senior academic schedule.

If you have participated in your Guidance activities, you should have a good idea of your interests and the career fields that match. This should help you in your colleges search by finding the schools with a strong program in your Major field of interest.
